MASTER OF SPECIAL EDUCATION

Specialising in hearing impairment

The Master of Special Education program awarded with a specialisation in Hearing Impairment is now offered in Western Australia on a part-time basis. Depending upon courses selected by candidates, this program is suitable for teachers wishing to gain qualifications to teach children who are deaf or hard of hearing.

This record of the first one hundred years of the Western Australian School for Deaf Children is a story of struggles, of some conflicts, and of many successes and achievements. Above all, it is a record of the continuing struggle to achieve an education system that serves the needs of deaf children and their parents in this State.
